Simultaneously to L’Oréal launching its Barber Club range dedicated to men with beard, Nivea is launching a Beard Oil.
Men’s market is woken up by the beard trend : men are not shaving these days, but wearing a beard. It opens opportunities for manufacturers of cosmetic products to offer new products to men.
Nivea did not go as far as L’Oréal, introducing only one product specific to beard : a Beard Oil.
For this launch, Nivea made it VERY simple, both for pack and for formula :
- pack is a simple uncolored glass bottle
- formula is made of 4 ingredients : paraffin oil, soja oil, burdock root extract (Arctium Lappa Root Powder) and fragrance, main ingredient being paraffin oil.
Ingredient list :
Paraffinum Liquidum, Arctium Lappa Root Powder, Glycine Soja Oil, Geraniol, Citronellol, Benzyl Alcohol, Linalool, Parfum
It’s baby oil.
No moisturising properties, just a greased up face.
Truly the worst beard oil I have tried thus far.
